if you have a colon, in most cases you should be cleaning it. i'll need to know about your health and digestion/elimination history before we get started, but my clients come in for all kinds of reasons, from general maintenance to emergency management to long-term, super-frustrating gut issues. let's figure out the best plan for you!

expect to be in the office for 45-70 minutes per session. you don't necessarily need to do anything in preparation, but since i do some abdominal massage i recommend eating lightly or not at all for a few hours leading up to your appointment to avoid discomfort.
we don't do surprises in the colonic room! we'll chat before your session and i'll give you all the info you need to make sure you're feeling respected and comfortable before we start.
good news - i'm in the room with you for the entire duration of the colonic to guarantee you’re as COMFORTABLE and as PRODUCTIVE as possible. colonics aren't painful, but you can expect to feel waves of pressure and discomfort - kind of like diarrhea - as your muscles contract. any discomfort will pass as quickly as it came and will soon be replaced with poop euphoria. you got this!
you'll have time to chill out on the throne before you head back out into the world - and i absolutely guarantee you'll feel like a million bucks.

you should be able to return to business as usual after your session, feeling relaxed and energized, lighter and more comfortable in your clothes. my clients often come on their lunchbreaks or even en route to a gym class.
in some cases, clients feel a bit tired the evening of their colonic, almost like they had a good workout. this is normal; your colon isn't used to working that hard for that long! you'll sleep like a baby, and wake up feeling better than you have in a long time.

heck no! closed gravity or Woods gravity colonics are not mechanical or pressurized; nothing will be pumping water in, or sucking water out. purified water falls into your body using gravity only, and your body engages, with my help, to push it back out. it's safe enough that you could have one every single day... though i understand why you may not want to have one every single day. that's a lot of butt stuff.
contrary to some of the myths surrounding colon hydrotherapy, they don’t disrupt the membrane protecting good gut bacterias - we’re actually clearing the way and creating a healthy environment for them to THRIVE.
it’s not hippie-dippie hocus-pocus; it’s pretty straightforward - colonics use purified water to gently hydrate, dissolve, and clean waste, gas, plaque, mucus and toxins out of the colon. every system in your body functions better as a result. boom!

while i don’t necessarily take issue with clients using these methods once in a blue moon/in an emergency situation, there’s simply no home remedy quite like a gravity colonic.
laxatives - including smooth move tea and other herbal remedies - are stimulants that actively irritate the colon to induce contractions which can lead to nightmarish gut issues and dependency. what’s more, they definitely don’t “clean you out” - anyone who’s had to repeat a colonoscopy after an all-nighter on the toilet can attest to this.
enemas are only capable of addressing the rectum and sigmoid colon - essentially the bottom 7 inches of your digestive system. a colonic can access the entire length of your colon. go big or go home!

first and foremost, coffee is a stimulant and a diuretic. so the colonic itself tends to be dialed up a few notches relative to a regular session! this can be a very good thing, especially for stubborn cases or longtime constipation.
going deeper, coffee colonics can assist with the removal of candida, heavy metals, and parasites, increase immunity and boost energy levels. coffee colonics are also fantastic for stimulating liver detox while simultaneously clearing out the toxins released into the intestines.
chlorophyll binds toxins and prevents reabsorption, further healing and detoxifying your colon and internal organs while restoring pH balance.
these implants can be applied separately, but they work best as a combo.

cannabidiol (cbd) has become a very popular wellness supplement across all sorts of applications because it works! cbd is proven to be consistently effective in reducing chronic pain, soothing and rebalancing sleep and immune systems, alleviating anxiety, reducing organ and tissue inflammation, muscle recovery, and much more. when used with colon hydrotherapy, all of these benefits are more bioavailable than more traditional applications!
immediately relieving pain, inflammation and anxiety, many clients experience a more relaxed and, therefore, more productive session relative to a regular colonic.
post-session, clients continue to experience cbd’s magic - often reporting the best sleep they’ve had in months, and a relaxed and functional gut in the days following.

make sure the studio is using a closed gravity or Woods gravity system and filtered water. if the filters aren't in plain sight, ask to see them - you want purified water in your colon. ask how much time is booked for each session (it should be no less than 60m), and if there are toilets ensuite (you'll appreciate this, trust me!).
chat with your therapist! do you vibe, are you being heard, are you on the same page, do you feel comfortable and supported? this ain't a manicure - and it's likely you'll form a friendship with your therapist. make sure it's someone you dig!
ask about visiting the space before booking your appointment if it makes you feel more at ease. that’s the point of this whole event!
NYC-based or not, i'm more than happy to connect you with another fantastic therapist if that's what gets you in for a session - this is about you feeling great! send me a message!
